Since 2003, the Washington Interscholastic Nutrition Forum (WINForum) has conducted and digitally recorded objective nutrition clinics for hundreds of coaches, athletic trainers, student athletes and their parents. Clinic presentersanswer questions and provide objective nutrition information that is used to fuel the WINForum.org website, and social media. The WINForum recommends a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein and low-fat or fat-free dairy.
WINForum was invited to provide an overview of careers in sports nutrition and nutrition ‘basics’ at the 19th annual Washington Career Technical Sports Medicine Association (WCTSMA) Spring Symposium, April 25-27 in Kennwick.
The WCTSMA is an organization that aids high school students in their pursuit of careers in sports medicine and healthcare. More than 750 students from 40 high schools in Washington and three from California attended. See a recap here.
